Embrace Reality
Article | Accountability Insights
If you find yourself having a problem, regardless of your situation (personal or workplace), you have the choice to rise above your current circumstances and demonstrate the behavior necessary for achieving better results, or you have the choice to go Below The Line and demonstrate the victimization and cynicism necessary for playing the blame game. Which will you choose?
Taking the Steps To Accountability —See It, Own It, Solve It, Do It—always requires embracing the reality of your situation and asking what else can you do to overcome obstacles and achieve the desired results. If you find yourself acting Below The Line and not getting the results you need to achieve, we suggest that you take these steps and do a better job of asking the Solve It question “What else can I do?” No more ignoring, denying, whining, complaining, finger pointing, saying it’s not my job, getting lost in confusion, covering your tail, or waiting and seeing. Just Do It!
There’s no better time than right now for taking greater accountability for solving problems and making your current situation better. To learn more about taking accountability and achieving the results you want, join our Accountability Community at www.partnersinleadership.com.
